Sewing & Creative Textile Workshops
Join us for a wonderful workshop! We have workshops in dressmaking, sewing, felting, embroidery, crochet and more, all happening in our studio, above our Hereford shop. We also run children's workshops in school holidays, perfect for sparking an interest in creativity and making!
We now stock a lovely range of King Cole wools and knitting patterns. Perfect for knitters and crocheters of all abilities, we are expanding our range all the time!
We sell a range of Silver Sewing Machine models. Their manual machines are perfect for beginners, with a good variety of stitches, 4 step button holes and automatic threaders. While their computerised models are great for those looking to level up their sewing!
Parties & Private Workshops
We can host a private party workshop for you and friends in our large studio. Come and celebrate your hen-do, baby shower or special birthday with us! See our private party page for a selection of party packages, we can also fun arty, crafty goody bags!

Gift Vouchers
To buy a gift voucher come into our shop or buy online! They make the perfect present for a creative friend or family member, and can be used in the shop or for a workshop. You can choose the amount on the Gift Voucher and get a physical paper voucher to gift to them.
Textile Talks
Our founder Jackie's background as a teacher comes in handy when offering external talks and workshops. She has given textile & career talks to a number of local WI groups, textile organisations & schools. She can also run workshops and demonstrations for local groups / organisations, such as Brownies and Rainbows, in their venue, get in touch to find out more.

We offer a full range of expert alterations for bridal dresses, bridesmaids, mother of the bride, grooms, prom dresses and more. With over 25 years experience, your outfit will be in safe hands!
We also offer custom embroidery services, to add an extra special touch with personalised keepsakes.

Bring in your garments to be altered and see how we can help you. From taking up hems to adjusting seams, we've seen it all! We also offer repair services such as darning holes, mending with patches and more.

Jackie
Founder & Magic Maker
Meet Jackie, our fabulous founder!
Jackie has an extensive background in theatrical costume, touring and working in theatres all over the country. She then went on to train as a teacher in Art and Textiles, working for 15 years in the U.K. and across the globe in America, the Middle East and Prague. During this time she dreamt up the idea of Make-it Happen before returning to the U.K to make it a reality!
Jackie leads our children's and adults sewing, dressmaking classes and textile workshops sharing her expert knowledge of all things fashion and textiles. She is fully qualified to work with children and has a chaperone license.
Cynthia
Mother Hen
Cynthia is the backbone of Make-it Happen, always helping our customers to find what they need! She ignited Jackie's passion for textiles and creativity at a young age, showing her how to sew and use a machine. Cynthia takes on many challenges in our alterations such as custom cushions, curtains and tricky repairs, she has a solution to every problem! When Cynthia is not at Make-it Happen, she's planting up beautiful blooms for Leominster in Bloom.
Christie
Creative Team
Christie is a friendly face on the shop floor and always on hand to help. Christie is a graduate of Hereford College of Arts, where she completed her degree in Textile Design. When she's not at Make-it Happen, Christie is running her Etsy shop, Wayfinding Creations, making beautifully detailed mouse ears for your trip to 'The Happiest Place on Earth'. She makes them in a range of themes, we just love their intricate designs and fun colours combinations!
Millie
Creative Team
Millie joined the team in early 2022, after graduating in Textile Design from Hereford College of Arts in 2021. Millie loves all things fabric and colour and can help you find the perfect fabric for your project! Outside of Make-it Happen, Millie is a Designer - Maker specialising in hand weaving.
She creates hand woven textiles for interiors, from cushions to wall hangings. She also works on bespoke fabric orders, designing one off fabrics to bring a positive and calming influence to peoples homes.
